ABOUT THE PROJECT

I am inviting women who through a big life change, have changed the way they see themselves. Whether that change is a new career, weight loss, a new move, experiencing loss, becoming a new mother, overcoming a big hurdle in live, or anything else to come and tell your story with a portrait.

Selected participants will be invited to a makeover and photo shoot with me, and will be gifted with an image of their choice (additional images can be purchased). Participants must be willing to book their session on a Tuesday ( between March and May) early afternoon and would be advised to either take a half day from work or even the full day off to participate. Participants must also be willing to sign a model release form, and willing to share their stories publically for the project.

Worthy Portrait Series | Olivia

Olivia is the first participant of  “Worthy, A Portrait Series”. She is an Actress and Model in Atlanta, GA.

“I lost myself trying to be the woman he wanted me to be, I forgot who I was and my perspective about life started changing.  After 3 years of mental and physical abuse, I decided to leave. After it ended…I lost my job and wasn’t booking as a model or actress. I had  gained about 28 lbs, I started having health problems, went through a deep depression, lost friends and had family emergencies.  My life was falling apart literally. I wasn’t happy, and contemplated the purpose of life.

One day I started reading a book, “You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life “ by Jen Sincero and my left brain turned right. I did all the homework in the books, started going to therapy to confront my past abuses as a child and adult, began meditation, and gave myself a lot of self love,  and being in nature. Through time,  I  started to see my life change. Ive finally started losing the weight I had gained. My health is getting better and I’m more health conscious. My acting and model career has started to take off, And I recently started an e commerce business. Although I am working on myself every day, I feel that I found myself again.”

Thank you Olivia for trusting me to photograph you! You are truly an amazing woman and beautiful on the inside and out.
