When Saleemah called me because she wanted to update her photos because she had a new hair cut, all I wanted to know was “when?!” She is such an amazing woman with so much love, wisdom, and knowledge to give she instantly brings light to everyone around her. She is a reminder that we are constantly evolving and we can accept and embrace our beauty at every stage and should celebrate it! This was my second session with Saleemah, my previous session with her was just two years ago and we had a blast then and I knew I couldn’t wait to bring my best for our second session together! What started off as just headshots, turned into a little fun when I asked her “Do you have a dress?” And she just happen to have the dress of all dresses, and we just decided to have some fun with it and get to twirling.

After editing these gorgeous images, we had an in person reveal of her top 25 images, it was very emotional going through the selections bringing us both to tears for moments. I realized and reflected as I left on the power and impact of a portrait, and truly understanding the meaning of seeing and being the best version of your self, and as a photographer capturing that light, capturing the moment so that it can be visualized and seen probably for the first time to ones eyes. It truly is a special gift to be able to witness those moments both at the shoot and at the reveal.
